out of hours

When We Are Closed

Between 6 pm and 9 am Monday - Friday, and weekends from Friday 6 pm until Monday 9  am the Health Centre is closed.

In order to obtain medical services/advice you can either dial the practice number: 0141 211 6080 or the NHS 24 free number 111 and a receptionist in the emergency call centre will deal with your call.

The Receptionist will either

  1. Arrange advice from a nurse or doctor
  2. Invite you to attend the centre to see a doctor
  3. Arrange a home visit if you are too ill to visit the centre.

Transport to and from the centre is available if you cannot arrange this yourself. Please take a leaflet for further details from reception. Out of hours cover is now the responsibility of GGNHSB. You can find out more about NHS 24 by visiting their website at http://www.NHS24.com

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct  to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath, etc, constitute an emergency.
